Leighlinbridge's award-winning Arboretum Lifestyle and Garden Centre is also home to the Arboretum Inspirational Gardens, which aim to show visitors that gardening is stylish, fun and can fit into their busy lifestyles.

A visit to the Arboretum Inspirational Gardens at Arboretum Home and Garden Heaven, Leighlinbridge, in County Carlow is a treat for the amateur and the enthusiast alike.

These gardens were created to inspire visitors to realise their own dream gardens and to show how some of the plants on sale in the garden centre might look in 10, 15, or 20 years’ time. The gardens showcase a variety of planting schemes and garden designs, all of which deliver a wow factor and yet are low maintenance.

One of the great joys of gardens is colour and these gardens were designed to make the most of the positive effects of colour on our wellbeing, red for vitality, yellow for contentment, purple for knowledge, and so on. Families will enjoy exploring the African mud hut and spotting the koi who reside in the Arboretum pond. Group tours of the Arboretum Inspirational Gardens may be booked by telephone.

There is a children’s playground and a box maze adjacent to the Inspirational Gardens. Rachel’s Garden Café has a terrace area located beside the playground.
