Castletownbere Festival of the Sea is an annual week-long festival commencing on the August Bank Holiday weekend. The festival is packed with various events to suit all ages and tastes. Join us for a week of fun, food, and festivities by the harbour.

On Bank Holiday Monday, 3rd August 2026, Guinness World Record holder, Shane McLoughlin, also known as "Blade of Glory," will attempt to set his 8th World Record by pulling the 1,000 tonne fully laden Ocean Challenger tug!
