Sheep’s Head Cycle Route
More from visitors like you
The Sheep’s Head is a peaceful, unspoilt peninsula in County Cork which has some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Ireland. It is easily explored by bicycle allowing cyclists to take in the beautiful surroundings at their own pace.

The Sheep’s Head is home to less than a thousand people, and remains one of the most unspoiled areas in Ireland. With plenty of scenery to take in, cycling is the best way to explore this area.

The Sheep’s Head Cycle Route starts at Ballylickey and ends in Roaringwater Bay, near Ballydehob in County Cork. It is approximately 120km long. The sign-posted route travels down the northern side of Sheep’s Head Peninsula, then returns to Durrus where cyclists should turn right and ride on to Ballydehob.
