McNutt of Donegal Shop & Woollen Mill is a craft shop experience with a difference. It is set in the picturesque seaside village of Downings, in the north west of Donegal.

For over 60 years the McNutt family have been weaving Donegal tweed and Irish linen at their mill in Downings in the north west of Donegal and have evolved from weaving classic traditional Donegal tweed fabrics to more modern and contemporary designs.

McNutt of Donegal is an Irish, family owned business creating some of the finest natural fibre homewares and fashion accessories using luxurious wool and linen yarns in their mill. Combined with decades of expertise and local craftsmanship each product is unique and timeless. McNutt of Donegal draws inspiration from the wild and rugged Irish landscape.

Home furnishings, fashion accessories and fabric lengths are among the products available that are designed and produced in house by a team of highly skilled craftsmen. Stocking a selection of Irish crafts and gifts, McNutts Donegal Woollen Mill has something for everyone. Browse a selection of throws, knee rugs, pashminas and wraps, scarves, cushions and gift boxes. Choose eco, waterproof, linen wool mix, linen, lambswool, pure wool, cashmere or alpaca.

Guided tours of the factory are also available. Tours must be pre booked at least two weeks in advance. Minimum group size is 10 people.
