Popular with serious surfers, Tullan Strand is a 2km beach stretching from the north end of Bundoran Town to the Erne Estuary at Ballyshannon.

Catch a wave or watch them break along this long sandy beach, all with the backdrop of the Dartry Mountains. Book an intermediate lesson with a nearby surf school — they'll provide everything from boards and wetsuits to transport, plus a surf shop to stock up in.

The free car park fills up quickly with surfers, but a paid car park is also available nearby.

This beach is not safe for swimming.
