Circle of Life is a remarkably beautiful stone sculpted national garden which commemorates and celebrates the lives and generosity of spirit of organ donors. It is located in the beautifully sited Quincentennial Park on The Promenade in Salthill, overlooking Galway Bay, and its aura of mysticism and healing provide a very special place to take time out to remember and reflect on loved ones.

The garden and park incorporate a rich mixture of Ireland's ancient history and heritage as well as representational stones from throughout Ireland and beyond which help engender a feeling of inclusion and welcome to all. Its atmosphere of peace, tranquillity and timelessness emanates from its exclusive use of natural and salvaged materials, its fusion of luxuriant vegetation and stone, its visual backdrop of a ruined monastic style wall and a stone circle type layout, dating back to an ancestry of past millennia. All of these features reflect the never ending cycles of nature and of life itself as is so beautifully evident in the outreach and connectivity of organ donation.

Circle of Life Garden was created by Galway-based charity, Strange Boat Donor Foundation with the support of Galway City Council who made the space in Quincentennial Park available for the project. It opened officially in May 2014 and is now one of Galway's leading visitor attractions, and a focal point through which the aims and aspirations of the organ donation community are highlighted and promoted.
