Visit Leahy Beekeeping in Loughrea, County Galway, for a full beekeeping experience. Zip up your bee suit and get up close and personal with bees at work in the hive. See the different aspects of the inner workings of the hive and learn how to identify the queen, workers and drones.

Leahy Beekeeping is a family run business based around a proud family tradition going back four generations in an area of conservation in the Sliabh Aughty Mountains. See the unique blend of flora, from pussy willow, elderberry, heather, dandelion and wild herbs, that the bees use to make honey.

Book a tour and learn all about pollen, the role bees play in the ecosystem and see the bees in action. Head over to the kitchen to taste some of the 100% raw, single filtered and unpasteurised honey, as well as sampling their natural skincare products made from beeswax.
