Kilkenny Crystal, based near Callan, County Kilkenny was founded in 1969 by Patrick Clancy and is one of Ireland’s oldest family-owned crystal studio workshops. The use of traditional techniques means that the crystal is likened to antique quality. Kilkenny Crystal specialises in bowls, vases, stemware and chandeliers. Each piece is deeply cut by hand and then polished with care to retain a fine finish. Original designs and unusual pieces are created.

Kilkenny Crystal is a true craft. At the studio each piece is given care and time to create. Specialising in deep accurate cutting, using cutting wheels with a very high angle to carve the pattern. The use of traditional methods ensures that the finished piece has the sharpness, definition, and accuracy associated with crystal produced before mass production methods were employed in recent years.
