Taking place in Faughart and Dundalk from Saturday 1st to Monday 3rd Feb, the Brigid of Faughart Festival will inspire, illuminate, guide and uplift us through a celebration of Brigid as Saint, pre Christian Goddess and 21st Century Wise Woman.
The annual Brigid of Faughart Festival runs from Saturday 1st to Monday 3rd February in Faughart and Dundalk and celebrates Brigid as Saint, pre Christian Goddess and 21st Century Wise Woman in her home of Faughart, where the story of Brigid first began.
The theme of this years's festival is Bringing the light of Brigid’s wisdom into these changing times. The festival celebrates the customs and traditions associated with Brigid and her birthplace of Faughart with a Cross and Crios Making Workshop, the Pilgrimage Walk from Dundalk to Faughart and Sacred Sites of Faughart Tour.
