The Ros Tapestry Exhibition Centre at The Waterfront in New Ross, County Wexford, showcases acclaimed embroidered tapestries, with tales told in thread celebrating the Norman history of Ireland’s South East.

Visit The Ros Tapestry Exhibition Centre and explore a special project that has been ongoing in Ireland’s South East since 1998. Over 180 stitchers created 15 giant tapestries, which are now on permanent display in New Ross and depict Ireland’s rich Norman history.

This remarkable example of creativity and community spirit led to one of the largest series of embroidered tapestries in Europe. Each panel illustrates key historical events of the town and region. The first tapestry was completed in 2002 and the exhibition stands as a lasting cultural legacy. Take a self guided tour with handheld audio guides to discover the art, history and craftsmanship behind this extraordinary achievement.
