Treacy's Bar & Restaurant in Portlaoise, County Laois, is one of Ireland's oldest traditional pubs that offers delicious bar food.

Enjoy a relaxing meal at Treacy's Bar & Restaurant positioned in the shadow of one of the country's most famous forts, the Rock of Dunamaise, once the stronghold of the great O'Moore clan of Laois.

Under the supervision of Tom & Marie Treacy, this family run premises is renowned for its quality of food. The restaurant serves traditional home cooked food throughout the day using fresh ingredients from local suppliers. The restaurant offers a bar menu available during the day and an extensive à la carte menu in the evening. Steaks are a particular speciality of Treacy's Bar & Restaurant.

Established since 1780 on the Great Heath of Portlaoise, Treacy's Bar & Restaurant is reputed to be the oldest pub in Ireland in the same family name. One of Ireland's best known landmarks, the thatched premises is situated just off the main Dublin to Cork/Limerick road (M7).

Although capable of catering for up to 200 persons, Treacy's Bar & Restaurant retains its warmth and friendly homely character, nowhere more so than in the traditional and cosy front bar.
